Effective date: October 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Advantage Tax Law, PC (“we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares information through advantagetaxlaw.com (the “Site”). Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@advantagetaxlaw.com or (949) 260-4729, or by mail to 2030 Main Street, Suite 1300, Irvine, CA 92614.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you use the consultation form or the chat assistant’s contact form, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, the type of tax issue, any IRS or Franchise Tax Board notice you received, the amount and tax years involved, how urgent the matter is, and your description. If you call or email us, we receive the information you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web server records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of each request.
Analytics cookies (only with your permission). If you click “Accept all” in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, which sets cookies to measure how visitors use the Site (for example, pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser information, and actions such as clicking our phone number or submitting the consultation form). If you click “Reject all” or do not make a choice, Google Analytics cookies are not set.
Third-party resources. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts and a charting library from the jsDelivr content delivery network. When your browser loads these files, those providers receive your IP address and standard browser information.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry, check for conflicts of interest, and schedule a consultation.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site.
- To understand which pages and services are useful to visitors (only if you accept analytics cookies).
- To comply with our legal and professional obligations.
Website forms are not confidential
Submitting a form on this Site does not create an attorney-client relationship, and information sent through the Site is not treated as confidential until we have agreed to represent you. Please do not send sensitive details through the Site. A consultation with an attorney is confidential.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and our practice (for example, our website host, our email provider, and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google), when required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights.
Other parties’ tracking
If you accept analytics cookies, Google may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Your choices, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
You can change your cookie choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to reject analytics cookies. We do not otherwise respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals; the cookie banner is how you control analytics on this Site.
Reviewing or correcting your information
To review, correct or delete information you submitted through the Site, contact us at contact@advantagetaxlaw.com or (949) 260-4729. We may need to keep certain records to meet legal or professional obligations.
Data security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date above.
